Starts off with BC is already set to count backwards to infinity. Start a new timeline, blank or template, but as long as it's empty you can customize it. When setting up the timeline, use BC, AD, and PA for eras. I would be elated to discover that perhaps such a feature isn't too far in the future? Thanks!

again, that's why we let the computer slave away with the scutwork. oh, and perhaps a way to switch displays for the various calendars, from regular to julian to whatever and back. 8 ) But I am going to register this come payday because it does have everything else I want. This is the one thing I have yet to find anywhere and seems kind of strange to be lacking in a program whose sole purpose is basically to, well, track timelines. Basically there would just be some behind the scenes conversions to sync everything. Being able to setup different calendars tied to a universal base calendar would be invaluable to keep the flavors of the different nations in my setting. I would really really love to be able to track different stellar nations, races, and so forth. I am looking to use this to track everything in a role playing game setting with a science fiction theme. the new planets solar rotation needs to be determined how many days are in a year etc. Especially if when I create a Character I get to choose which Timeline to associate it with, Born Earth Standard 2546 or chose to be born NP standard 5 AL, and still know that when it reaches 365 Earth Standard days, I know it's 1 Year old, but also that it would mean that 365 days = 8760 hours old, so that would equal only 243.3 repeat NP days old. But again, aeon timeline is set up to view and manipulate a single Timeline, but if it could view, add, create or join secondary or a third Timeline, I'd be really happy myself. Earth history etc, set as Timeline One, but have it display a secondary calculation for the top row where 2450 AD would just below it in smaller print would be 0 AL. Every one and everything needs to be placed on this one. But for display through the program, Our perspective would need to be made Primary in a hierarchy. I've also just realized having concurrent date systems would help out Historians, either for fiction or for comparisons, BC AD, seen along side say the Mayan Calander. So one day on NP equals 1 and half Earth standard days. keeping a calculator handy and remember that 2 days on New Planet is 72 hours, but on earth those 72 hours translate as 3 days. That way you can filter the display to New Planet, and know when this character was born, but still see Earth standard date of timeline. Then everything and everyone associated with the planet, gets tagged New Planet. Ie: Event Romulus AL and a secondary called Romulus BL. Won't do the math now, but obviously, New Planet year needs to be defined for how many days in a year, so it can be calculated to Earth Standard.īut as a stopgap measure, because these features aren't available yet, maybe you could set up an Event or Entity or Character, called New Planet that has its Begin and end dates. Switching perspectives gives the equivalent dates for both timelines, so Robust 16th 34:56pm gets calculated to E arth standard 24 hour days, Day, Week, Month, and year. But if I'm New Planet stock, my perspective would be, today is Robust 16th 34:56pm, 1254 AL. if I'm Earth Standard then I'll know AL day was say December 2nd, 3:33am, 2545 AD. With another display option of perhaps Perspective. With display choice of say Earth Timeline Above Other Planet Timeline, aligned to the AL begin date. So like a container file, displaying two or more timelines. And be able to display both timeline files. But AL must be attached to a date on say Earth's AD. Having the user define when AL begins and corresponds with BC/AD of Earth, etc. Then some how have Aeon Timeline Program have the option to either join the two files, either permanently or temporarily for viewing and comparing. But the only way I can think of is if that Planet's timeline was first mapped out, say BL and AL (Before After Landing) in its own aeon timeline file. Especially in the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres. I'd find Multiple Concurrent Date Systems beneficial.
